Must

El verbo to must significa literalmente “deber” pero se usa en los siguientes casos:

  • Para expresar certeza a una suposición.
    Ejemplo:
    This must be the right address!
    It must be him. He told me he would come at three o’clock
  • Para expresar prohibición o algo que no es recomendable hacer
    Ejemplo:
    you must not park your car here
    you must not swim in the river
  • Para expresar una recomendación fuerte o un consejo.
    Ejemplo:
    You must take some medicine for that cough
    You must see that movie
    You mustn’t drink so much
  • Para expresar una obligación o una necesidad.
    Ejemplo:
    I must go to the post office tomorrow
    You must have the ticket to enter
