Look like, parecer

El verbo “to look like”, del verbo to look (“mirar”) seguido de like asume el significado más preciso de “parecer”.

Do you look like your dog? is a contest for dog owners who look like their dogs.¿Te pareces a tu perro? es un concursos para dueños de perros que se parecen a sus propios perros.
